Customer Services

  • 150+ employees split into therapy areas
  • Provides telephone based support to thousands of patients
  • Good communication skills and empathetic nature are vital

The relationship between healthcare provider and patient is an important one. Patients, sometimes vulnerable and often suffering from serious conditions, need to feel cared for and supported at all times. More than 150 coordinators and managers make up our customer services department, each providing high levels of customer support. Split into therapy-specific teams, staff call patients to make sure they have received their medication, check they have enough until their next delivery, and provide a link between patient and hospital. They are also the first port of call if patients have any queries – although for medical queries we have a dedicated Care Bureau.

Although many calls are routine, sometimes the job is a little more challenging. There may be a problem with delivery, or we might have trouble getting hold of a patient. We are there to help and make people feel reassured. You have to be able to communicate well with lots of different types of people.
