With over 900 employees to look after, spread across more than 20 locations, the small team works diligently, carrying out risk assessments in areas such as fire prevention, office safety and manual handling. One particular key area is lone working, as the company has many nurses and drivers out in the field and going into patients’ homes on their own. As the team often has to work with so many people, they look for team members who are good communicators, have excellent common sense and who can get on with colleagues at all levels of the business.
My day-to-day role involves keeping policies up to date, ensuring everyone has the right equipment and providing induction training. We work as part of the HR team and there is a good atmosphere in the office. Healthcare at Home is a great company to work for and it has looked after me very well.
