Paying for Healthcare at Home

Our services are funded in a number of ways:

NHS funding

A wide range of Healthcare at Home services are funded by the NHS.

To find out whether your treatment could be provided at home, please ask your GP, consultant or clinical team and they can advise you whether a Healthcare at Home service is available and clinically appropriate for you.

Private medical insurance

We are the only clinical homecare provider that is recognised by every private medical insurer in the UK. This means that if you have private medical insurance, your insurer will be happy to support you in receiving your treatment through Healthcare at Home where clinically appropriate. You can find further information for private patients here.

To find out whether your condition could be treated at home, please ask your consultant.

Paying for yourself / self-funding / “top up” treatment

Sometimes the treatment that your doctor thinks is most appropriate for you may not be available on the NHS, or even through private medical insurance.

Healthcare at Home can supply the medication and/or help to administer your treatment, subject to your doctor providing us with a private prescription for your medication. We are extremely price competitive in the supply of self-funded treatment in comparison to both NHS and private hospitals, and we provide your treatment at a time and place that is convenient to you.

Please contact your consultant for further information.
