Quality of care
We routinely monitor our own standards of care by drawing on patient feedback and are regulated and checked by professional bodies such as The Care Quality Commission, The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority and The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
We are delivering life saving drugs in a way they should be delivered – in the comfort of people’s homes where they can be supported by family, not making them sit on a bus trying to get to hospital.
Compounding Unit Manager
We were the first independent home healthcare provider to receive ISO 9001:2000 accreditation, which encompasses all operational activities.
Our staff commitment
All our staff are trained and assessed according to a robust clinical competency programme. Our nurses are equipped with anaphylaxis kits and extravasation kits where appropriate, and are extensively trained in their use every year with other mandatory training including CPR, POVA and Infection Control.
We are committed to ensuring that:
- Our clinical teams continue to deliver excellent quality services to all of our patient groups
- Our clinical teams consistently work towards best practice
- Our protocols and procedures are up-to-date
- Our remote nursing teams regularly access training and development programmes
- Clinical supervision takes place on a regular basis
- Support and training on a 1-1 basis is available if required
- All clinical incidents are analysed effectively and changes are made accordingly
- All areas of clinical risk are identified
Our delivery team and nurses always carry identification on them and only arrive at a time that is pre-arranged with the patient or carer.
