Medication home treatment
We provide a vast range of complex and highly sophisticated clinical services outside of the traditional hospital setting and inside the secure and comfortable setting of a patient’s home, ranging from oral oncology to enzyme replacement therapy.
Healthcare at Home has been amazing, especially the IV nurses. They are very professional, highly-trained and incredibly caring. My nurse was not only there to administer drugs, she looked after the whole of me, both physically and mentally.

The medications in question typically have one or more of the following characteristics:
- Are given by injection or infusion
- Are difficult or should not be self-administered
- May require careful preparation ahead of administration
- May have special transport and storage requirements
From the moment our nursing staff walk into a patient’s life they are there to help support them physically and mentally. Our nurses will administer the medication themselves or train people how to manage their condition and self-administer. We have specialist IV nurses, haemophilia, oncology and paediatric nurses amongst others.
All our nurses are extensively trained on an annual basis in conjunction with mandatory requirements including CPR, POVA and infection control. We also have a carefully designed nurse training and development programme.
